During the 1970’s, the cult phenomenon swept the United States.  The Jewish community was particularly hard hit.  Cults were seen in California but in New York, they were largely unknown.

One of my teachers asked me to help locate a young man who had disappeared in New York.  He had received an address from the young man’s mother but no other information.  He asked me to check out the address.

The address was the headquarters for a cult known as the Forever Family.  Nearly 150 people lived in a loft in filfth, sharing meals, and sleeping in one room.  The group made all decisions for it’s members.  Thinking was not allowed.

Each night, the group would walk to nearby Washington Square Park shouting Bible verses at the top of their lungs.  Please forgive me for not describing just how disgusting this center was.  I could not believe my own eyes.

Within days, my teacher had extracted this young man from the group in what became our first deprogramming.

Over time, I participated in dozens of deprogrammings and soon became known as the expert in the Jewish community on cults.

But something was missing.  And I discovered it when I discovered NLP.

Instead of the intense days and nights of deprogramming, I was soon able to accomplish the same in hours.  People could not believe my success.

But I was able to repeat the success time and again.
